EMERALD Behavior and Education Specialists, LLC is seeking qualified, experienced paraprofessionals in the field of Special Education. Emerald was founded by Behavior Analyst William Henkel, PhD/BCBA, and Education Specialist April Kelly Henkel, to assist special education students in their neighborhood schools to live successful, independent, and fulfilling lives!

We are seeking individuals who share our philosophy to join our team! As one of Emerald's Behavior / Instructional Assistants you will play a critical role in implementing and evaluating behavior and education plans in schools throughout Sonoma County.
Our Behavior / Instructional Assistants work with students with a variety of special needs, which may include Autism, Emotional Disturbance, ADHD, and other disabling conditions.
Job duties include:
- Establishing a positive relationship with students
- Implementing behavior plans
- Direct instruction of modified academic plans
- Data collection
- Working collaboratively with teachers, specialists, and other paraprofessionals.
Applicants must have at least 2 years of experience working with students.
High School diploma or GED is required / BA degree preferred. We require a copy of your diploma, degree or transcripts. Successful applicants must also pass a fingerprint check.
Hours are a typical school day, 6-7 hours per day.
Starting pay: $18.00 - $21.00 /per hour depending on education and experience. We also offer competitive benefits and paid time off!
If you can't work 5 days each week due to your own school schedule or other commitments ON-CALL SUBSTITUTES are also needed!
