Definition
To manage a Zaxby?s unit toward the attainment of agreed upon sales and profit goals, working within the framework of company values and policies. Assist the General Manager in day to day operations of their store.
Supervision Received and Exercised
Reports directly to General Manager and receives direction from higher Assistant Managers, General Managers and District Managers.
Assist in the direct supervision of 15-50 employees.
Essential Job Functions
Essential duties may include but are not limited to the following:
- Must work a minimum of 32 hours per week.
- Responsible for increasing sales and marketing a profit by providing outstanding product and service.
- Providing team members with the appropriate training.
- Work lunch, dinner and weekends, monitoring quality of food and service.
- Purchase food, beverages and supplies as needed and oversee their preparation to insure that every product served meets our high standards of product quality.
- Execute all Systems daily to ensure a clean, organized restaurant prepared to deliver quality food and an Encore service.
- Utilize all management tools to keep neat, accurate and current records providing the Historical data plan for increased sales and profit.
- Operate in accordance with the established performance, profits and operating standards as set out in the operation manuals.
- Supervise and motivate Team Members to perform to their highest possible level of ability.
- Have a good working knowledge of all equipment which includes proper actions for all maintenance issues and maintaining duties on the monthly list of a unit.
- Maintain high standards of service throughout the operational day by demonstrating leadership by example.
- Must be in compliance with the guidelines of grooming standards on the following page.
- Communicate openly and honestly with subordinates, superiors and all others about plans, progress and problems.
- Perform such other duties as directed by Management and the Director of Training.
- To ensure that all team members are fully knowledgeable of the policies and procedures by constantly asking questions, testing and monitoring their performance.
- Responsible for ensuring that all new team members develop a strong work ethic.
- Provide leadership by engendering excitement, enthusiasm and a positive mental attitude and commitment toward company objectives. Create and Encore Environment.
- Respect all employees and customers. Never use vulgar language around customers and never towards the crew. Always be firm but fair.
- Perform such other duties as directed by the General Manager or other Assistant Managers.
- Maintain an attitude of flexibility that allows performance above and beyond the parameters of this position description.
- To assist in the interviewing process and making decisions to pursue a second interview with the Management Team.
