Job Description
Short or Tall Eatery & Drink Hall is a new concept bar and restaurant in Rogers that opened in 2018! We have 80 taps of beer, wine & batch cocktails. We serve a great menu featuring some unique burger and fry options among other things. We're looking for people with a great attitude, fun personality, willingness to learn, and motivation to help this new venue succeed.
The main duties and responsibilities of this position include:
- Greets and serves customers in a professional and timely manner.
- Carding all guests that appear to be under 35 years of age.
- Know the full beverage menu and is fully capable of preparing any item.
- Knows the proper presentation, make up technique, preparation method and desired flavor of all items on the beverage menu.
- Prepares alcoholic, non-alcoholic and other beverages for customers and servers in accordance with standard recipes.
- Knows proper function, operations, maintenance and cleaning of all bar appliances. Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues to manager on duty.
- Maintains a clean bar at all times by wiping bar regularly, disposing of debris and bottles, filling ice bins and washing glasses behind the bar as needed.
- Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of beverage products behind bar to assure a smooth service period.
- Checks and maintains stock of glassware, beverages and bar supplies and communicates shortages to management staff.
- Claim tips and wages in accordance with federal law requirements.
- Complete daily/weekly cleaning duties found in bar bible.
- Records currency transactions accurately on computer and tenders proper change and itemized receipt.
- Processes and prints a checkout through POS, reviews and submits to the manager. A manager will count down drawer with employee.
- Completes all assigned opening and closing duties to prepare bar for efficient operation.
- Communicates health and/or safety concerns/violations immediately to management.
- Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Shift Leader.
