Manufacturing Production Planner:
Connor-Winfield Corporation is looking for a highly qualified and motivated individual to join its production planning department supporting its manufacturing operations. Connor-Winfield, established in 1963, manufactures a line of specialized, made-to-order electronic components and modules for use in a variety of applications to support its global customer base. This full-time position will be responsible for planning and scheduling the production of customer orders. Customer service is our number one priority, so the candidate should have excellent organizational skills with a high attention to detail. Experience in a manufacturing environment with production planning and familiarity working with ERP systems is essential. Familiarity with electronic components is an advantage. This dynamic position interfaces with all internal departments including interaction with Sales, Engineering, Production, Purchasing, Quality and Inventory control teams.
Duties and expectations of this position include:
- Determining completion dates on incoming orders and providing feedback to Customer Service/Sales
- Planning and coordinating production schedules for customer orders including materials required to meet expected demand
- Developing weekly production schedules for manufacturing
- Work as a liaison between Production Supervisors, expediting orders while coordinating with Production, Engineering, Shipping and Purchasing
- Analyze and address production issues that impact schedules in a timely fashion
- Communicate effectively with sales and production, informing and updating them regularly to guarantee sales and customer objectives are met
- Work closely with sales and production management to understand long term production requirements
- Evaluate and recommend ideas to increase forecasting accuracy and demand planning
Experience:
- Working knowledge of ERP software programs
- Experience working in production scheduling and/or other Supply Chain roles
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience working in a high mix manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with Material Requirement Planning (MRP)
- Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively
- Ability to learn and communicate technical information.
Highly Desirable Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, CRM systems, and Outlook.
- Excellent problem solving, organizational, & communication skills.
- Ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effectively.
- Experience or willingness to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Willingness to initiate, establish, and nurture business relationships with customers.
- Provide customer feedback of products and service for continuous improvement.
