Job Description
-
Provide technical assistance supporting district-wide technology relating to networks, hardware, and software via telephone and remote control of computers to ensure minimal downtime and greatest student and staff productivity.

Respond to inquiries relating to hardware and/or software for resolving problems in support of district sites and users.

Maintain and develop, when necessary, technical documentation for providing instruction and reference.
-
Maintain accurate asset documentation
-
Moves adds and changes in inventory database
-
Install desktop applications and network access software for providing upgrades to maintain current district standards.
-
Assist in maintaining and supporting district inventory, remote access, imaging, software licensing, help desk, etc., resources utilizing district software package – Microsoft System Center Suite (SCCM).

Support Staff with extensive knowledge of instructional tools, computers, peripherals and operating systems including, but not limited to the following:
-
Current Operating Systems: Windows, iOS, Chrome OS, Android OS, etc.

Productivity Software: i.e. Office, Star/AR, Compass, GAFE, various Curriculum Software
-
Support current classroom learning tools i.e. (Exton Polevault Systems, document cameras, printers, projectors, sound etc…) and the capacity to integrate future systems.

Support various audio and video files (including mp4, mp3, mov, & H.264)
-
Operational knowledge of system tools,
-
Google Administration
-
Deployment tools and utilities
-
Ghost, LanDesk, SCCM, etc…
-
Maintaining building labs and image computer systems as needed
-
Experience with remote desktop tools (SCCM, TightVNC etc…)
-
Mobile Device Management (MDM); iOS Applications support and deployment
-
Support multimedia delivery of collaboration meetings
-
Google Hangouts, Video Conferencing, Skype, Facetime, etc…
-
Process work orders via helpdesk support system
-
Weekly meetings with Tech Department
-
Other duties as assigned by IT Director
Required Qualifications
-
High school graduate or GED.
-
Physically able to occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
-
Ability to walk, stand, sit, stoop, bend, reach, kneel, crawl, and grasp as required to successfully perform all duties and requirements.
-
Ability to focus (adjust the eye to bring and object into sharp focus), clear vision at 20 inches or less, and clear vision at 20 feet or more.
-
Minimum two years’ experience in help desk or technical support capacity or equivalent education and work/field experience.
-
Expertise and knowledge with LAN technologies supporting data, voice, and video.
-
Working knowledge and hands-on experience with personal computers and internet/intranet protocols and standards.
-
Ability to maintain accurate records.
-
Ability to work under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or methods.
-
Ability to diagnose and solve problems, and exercise independent judgment.
-
Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work, complete tasks, and meet deadlines in a timely and efficient manner.
-
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with persons with diverse technical knowledge and skills. Including district administrative staffs, and school building staffs and students.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
-
Must have valid Washington state driver’s license.
-
Understand Appropriate/Responsible Use of technology.
-
Ability to run YouTube.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Web Design, HTML, JavaScript, CSS knowledge to maintain OSD’s website preferred
-
A.S. in Computer Science or related field preferred
-
Graphical design skills preferred
-
Audio engineering experience preferred
-
Experience with and knowledge of Dell OptiPlex and Latitude laptops preferred.

A+ Certification preferred.

Contracted Days: 247 work days & 13 holidays (260 total contracted days)
