As a Project Manager, you will lead multiple project teams to successful completion of new product launches. In this role, you will work on a variety of goals performing tasks related to resource management, project accounting/finance, project planning, and internal project reporting/administration. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to interact with both internal and external clients, engage in project control, and own project communication.
Your Responsibilities:
- Assume leadership of cross functional teams to drive results that align with strategic company goals
- Work with sales, marketing, and business development managers to help build knowledge base of each client's business, organization, objectives, and needs
- Define skill sets (competencies) required for team members based on project specifications and requirements
- Determine other resource requirements (including staffing, software, hardware, and facilities) of projects, based on project needs and specifications
- Will analyze project profitability, margins, understand our basic revenue models, pricing, and billing procedures and makes decisions accordingly.
- Assures project legal documents are completed and signed.
- Manages the project budget
- Manage scope creep through meetings, internal change orders, or other methods to help ensure projects deliver on timeline, scope, budget and strategy expectations.
- Evaluate key deliverables & final product to ensure traceability of requirements, high quality and customer/client acceptance.
Requirements:
Let's Talk About Your Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (College Degree Major Desired: Engineering, Technology, Project Management, or Business)
- Effective use of resources to execute projects to meet scope/time/budget targets
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with stakeholders, customers, and suppliers.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing complex projects that are strategic in nature and national in scope.
- Experience with MS office applications, specifically MS Project and PowerPoint
- Project Scope/Budget/Risk/Team/Schedule planning, controlling, and reporting skills
- 5 years or more experience in project management
- 2 years or more experience in a manufacturing or industrial organization that has build-to-order and high volume, low spec products preferred
- PMP Certification is a plus
